Creb Track Trail Bike Ride Review

Yesterday I took Bill and Tim who are visiting Cairns from South Australia on a one day adventure thrill ride on the famous CREB track Ride. It was a huge day trying to fit what we normally do on a 2 day ride into one day. We departed Cairns at 6.30 am for a beautiful coastal drive through Ellis beach, Port Douglas and Mossman onto the pretty township of Daintree to gear up, unload the bikes and set out on what was one of the greatest days for all of us.

We crossed the mighty Daintree River which is wide and an adventurous way to start the day. Crystal clear fresh water flowing down from the mountains forming this awesome river. After the river crossing, we entered the deep green lush Daintree World Heritage rainforest, which is the second largest rainforest system in the world riding the famous CREB Track was an unforgettable, spectacular and demanding ride. The CREB track is only open for a few months of the year due to the high rainfall that can come with far north Queensland’ss wet season. With many challenging hill climbs and descents and lots of beautiful creek crossings, the pace of the day was pretty intense and we had an awesome time out there taking in fresh air and beautiful scenery.

Once through the CREB track we headed to the beautiful Roaring Meg waterfalls for a look then onto Wugal Wugal for lunch by the Bloomfield waterfalls. With lunch finished and the bikes topped up on fuel it was time to head back and do it all again, the track can look so different going the other way and with a little fatigue setting in, its super challenging, we made it safely back to the truck in the late afternoon, thanks Bill & Tim for a great day on the trails.
